Foundation “Health Prophylaxis” is an organization from Blagoevrad whose long term objective is to improve the health of the citizens. Some of the specific aims include establishing cooperation on health and social assistance issues in cross-border projects; cooperation and networking on health and social welfare issues; recording and classifying cross-border medical data of mutual interest with the help of ICT; prevention and early diagnosis of diseases of the musculoskeletal and musculoskeletal system by opening centers for health prevention and prevention of spinal distortions, discopathies, joint degenerative and occupational diseases;Our organization has experience in cross-border initiatives communicating informally with similar organizations from Macedonia and Greece; sharing experience and practice, consulting cases. Foundation “Health Prophylaxis” raises funds through charitable campaigns for prevention, rehabilitation and restoration of a number of diseases to needy children and youth. Works for socialization, integration and professional development of children and youth with disabilities. In recent years there has been a boom among people who have had severe strokes, heart attacks and other diseases such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, polio and operations. They all lead to very serious consequences for the patient and for his family. The recovery period is very long and painful. A very important condition for full recovery of the patient is not only performed treatment, but subsequent rehabilitation. Neglect of rehabilitation and kinesitherapeutic activity in all areas of medicine have a detrimental character for patients. Organised donation campaigns with our partners aimed at raising funds for children in need – our patients – from daily physical therapy and rehabilitation. To be able to recover fully to integrate into society, to have a normal life, full of smiles!
We implement this project based on previous experiences, practices and professional capacity of its members. We have implemented a variety of projects related to tourism and health. Some of them include, Time@Net, a European project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program with key action cooperation and innovation on good practice to promote social inclusion and inclusion, active citizenship and learning participation among young people with intellectual disabilities. The project included public and private institutions in the field of education, social, training, research and working areas for inclusion with significant skills and experience. Another project that we have implemented is the “Cross-border training initiative in the field of health rehabilitation” funded project from the IPA Cross-border Program, CCI number 2007CB16IPO007. Besides those projects, we have implemented a variety of other projects since the existence of the organization. Our members include highly qualified professionals in their respective fields. The foreseen activities reflect one of our major goals, attracting tourists and offering alternatives to local communities to unleash the tourist potential in the priority regions. In this manner, we will combine health and tourism activities in order to achieve our aim and thus the objectives of the Programme in general

Center for development of the Third-Northeast planning region – Kumanovo

The Center for development of the Third-Northeast planning region is formed and acts on the territories of the municipalities: Kratovo, Kriva Palanka, Kumanovo, Lipkovo, Rankovce and Staro Nagoricane. Over the past 9 years we developed strategies, programs and action plans for accelerated economic development of the region. The Center have implemented more than 50 regional projects financed by the Government of RM including: Creation of conditions for development of tourism through the preparation of strategies and studies and through the reconstruction and construction of more than 10 significant tourist facilities at important tourist sites in the Northeast planning region; Regional studies, technical documentation and infrastructural intervention on the social and road infrastructure; Studies about geothermal waters; Needs of investments in the water and sewerage system; Technical documentation in the field of gasification; Regional water supply; Construction of local fecal systems; Preparation of technical documentation for waste water filter stations; Preparation of a Study for ski-center Kalin Kamen; Cooperation and implementation of projects that concern the business community in the North-East planning region; Preparation of a tender procedure for PPP for construction of a waste incinerator in NEPR etc. The Center has experience in cooperation with donors from Republic North Macedonia and abroad.
Tourist activities directly affect the adoption of healthy habits, especially among young people, while taking care to include vulnerable groups of persons. The top priority in all strategic documents for development of the Northeast region is the development of tourism in the region. In the past years, the Center managed to intervene through coordinated activities in creating preconditions for the basis for the development of tourism through: Cooperation between municipalities and communities in the region; Increasing public awareness among the population in the region for the development of tourism and sustainable development; Making maps of archaeological sites and cultural – historical and natural attractions in the region using the GIS; Development of a Strategic and Action Plan for Tourism Development; Development of a Study for the optimal use of natural and cultural and historical heritage resources in the region for tourist purposes. The Center has implemented a number of infrastructure projects in order to create preconditions for development of tourism and mobility in the region through: Construction of a regional tourist bureau in Kratovo and procurement of office and computer equipment; Procurement and installation of urban equipment for 6 tourist locations in rural areas in the region; Accommodation of old school buildings in the rooms for staying of tourists; Reconstruction and adaptation of the municipal halls in Kriva Palanka in a modern space for tourist presentation in 3D in the Northeast and Kyustendil region; Marking of mountaineering paths, placement of signposts and mounting of views in Bislimska gorge, etc.
